12th of March 2009 H.E. Mr. Abdul H. Haider, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan presented Credential Letters to H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Presidential residence Ak-Orda and assumed his duties. |

January, 28 2010 in London the International Conference on Afghanistan was held under chairmanships of Afghanistan, Great Britain and UNO. President of Afghanistan H.E. Karzai, Prime Minister of Great Britain H.E. Brown, UNO General Secretary Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, ministers of foreign affairs of over 60 countries, Heads of international organizations have been participated at the Conference. |

January 14, 2010, in Vienna, President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed his speech to OSCE states-participants on the occasion of Kazakhstan’s assumption of the Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2010. ”Our country will embark on its Chairmanship during one of the most complicated periods in modern history. Because of the global financial and economic crisis, tectonic shifts are taking place in the global order, and this process is still far from completion.”

International Conference on Afghanistan, 20 July 2010 |

On July 20, 2010, the Government of Afghanistan will bring together representatives of more than 70 partner countries, international and regional organizations and financial institutions to deliberate and endorse an Afghan Government-led plan for improved development, governance, and stability. The International Conference on Afghanistan, the first of its kind in Kabul, will mark the culmination of several months of intensive study and rigorous policy debate on Government priorities implemented through national programs, to deliver on the key goals of economic growth and job creation. Building on commitments made at the recent international London Conference, the conference aims to support a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan. It will be opened by H.E. President Hamid Karzai, and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, and co-chaired by Foreign Minister Rassoul and UN Special Representative Staffan de Mistura. |

Kazakhstan and Afghanistan extends cooperation. On the 22nd of November, 2009 it was official visit of the State Secretary – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr Kanat Saudabayev to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, by way of visit there were negotiations with the President Mr. Karzai and Minister of foreign affairs Dr Rangin Spanta and also with the special representative of the UNO General Secretary to Afghanistan Mr. Kay Aide. |
